Educational Support: Bedlam GeographyIf you're not an Okie, you may not be aware of the term Bedlam as it applies to our school rivalries. Bedlam refers to the athletic rivalry between the two most prominent schools in Oklahoma: The University of Oklahoma (OU) and Oklahoma State University (OSU). The most anticipated football game of the year (possibly tied in emotion with the OU/Texas game) is the one between these two schools. Bedlam Geography capitalizes on this competition to provide middle school students with an interesting angle for studying geography. For several years, Topographic has been a primary supporter of Bedlam Geography. In this short clip, Topographic VP Ralph Heatly visits with The Oklahoma Publishing Company's Educational Services Manager Wendy Kleinman, who provides academic laison for school activities. Wendy describes how Bedlam Geography works, and Topographic's involvement in the program. |
